Apple Cider Vinegar is made by taking a bunch of apples and crushing them and squeezing out the liquids, then yeast is added to ferment the sugars, and bacteria is also added to convert the apples to vinegar.
You can do this with other foods as well.
There is no evidence of reduced cancer or heart disease risk, and there has been only one study done on this topic studying weight loss.
This study was done on already obese subjects and done for 12 weeks.
There was a non vinegar group and a group that included vinegar. Overall, the study found that on average the vinegar group lost 2 kg more over that 12-week period than the placebo group (non vinegar group).
However, they regained their weight right away. This difference is so small that this study demonstrates that it hardly did anything in terms of weight loss.
Apple cider vinegar has also been shown to cause people to eat less, but this was due to the fact that it has been known to make the subjects nauseous after drinking it.
This caused them to not want to eat as much throughout the day. In my opinion, you are better off just eating an apple or getting the nutritious benefits another way.
