The average person takes in around 5-10 grams of fiber per day.
The reason this becomes problematic is that people are not getting as full from food, and they constantly chase feeling full.
A high-fiber diet will allow you to not only be full faster but also for longer periods of time.
The recommendation I would give is to aim for 25-30 grams of fiber per day.
I generally just shoot for 10 grams of fiber for every meal I consume.
It’s better to get your fiber from natural foods rather than fiber supplements because food provides other vitamins and minerals and not just fiber.
